1) I feel bad towards the foreign workers because they came to SG to work yet they received criticisms from our citizens, and disappointed with SGreans for saying such mean things

2) By looking at the situations from both perspectives, we get to put ourselves in both parties' shoes and think about how both people think. In the video, after the SGrean read out the tweet to the foreign worker about them talking loudly in buses, the foreign worker explained that it was necessary to talk loud in their working place so as to prevent accidents from happening, thus it is possible that it became their habit to talk loudly. After hearing this, we can understand better why they talk loudly, instead of just criticizing them for talking loudly.

1) I feel extremely disheartened to know that some Singaporeans have this sort of mindset about foreign workers. They stereotype the workers generalise their behaviours such as talking fast or talking loudly. We should not stereotype these workers but instead undertstand why they do this before commenting especially on social media.

2) Looking from the foreign worker's perspective, they explain that they must speak loudly as it is to help them communicate among themselves in a noisy environment. This lowers the chance of miscommunication and injuries as a result of it. In construction sites, the noise generated is more than what Singaporeans usually hear, so the foreign workers get used to the loud environment and are used to talking loudly. This example has helped me to better understand why the foreign workers actually mean no harm while other Singaporeans just take it as being inconsiderate without knowing the genuine reason for their actions whether deliberate or not.

1) I feel really guilty and remorseful, but at the same time, I feel a bit shocked at the fact that Singaporeans would write such hurtful remarks about foreign workers that work so much every day to make our lives better. Foreign workers work at construction sites for hours on end to earn a little bit of money but yet we say things and chase them away even though they had not done anything wrong and instead, helped to take up jobs that we Singaporeans do not want to take up. Without them, we would not have what we have now in Singapore. These foreign workers are just like any other Singaporean here and should be treated like a person.
2) Looking from the people reading the mean comment's perspective, I am able to understand more about how Singaporeans feel as well as how the foreigners feel. Seeing the foreigners share how they feel sad and disappointed makes the people and me feel embarrassed because sometimes, people around me would say the same comments about foreign workers without even bothering about how they feel. They work very hard under the hot sun and do not have enough money to take the taxi home and yet people complain about how foreign workers smell horrible. Even after all the mean comments, the foreign workers still feel that Singaporeans have good manners and are nice people, showing that they are more forgiving people as compared to Singaporeans.

We should actually be grateful and appreciative and if people said mean comments directly to me I will feel very upset too.
2: The way they behave that makes Singaporeans unhappy is actually because a lot of other reasons. By looking at the situations at both perspective, we can understand the whole story better and it may actually just be a misunderstanding that caused so much unhappiness.

Many of them leave their homes to work here so that they can earn money, it is not easy working under the hot sun almost everyday just to earn a small amount of salary and at the same time improve Singapore's economic growth. Instead, of appreciating, Singaporeans look only at the negative side of not having them in Singapore is a good thing.

2) Looking at both perspectives, we can see that Singaporeans do not want foreign workers to come to Singapore as they think they are dirty but foreign workers are here in Singapore to work and not here to steal jobs or take up space in Singapore, in addition they do tough work which is why they are dirty and not because of their habit.

As Singaporeans, its not enough to have a home where you belong. They should really learn to put themselves in the other party's shoes before they even comment these kinds of stuff.

1. I feel that we should be grateful towards the foreign workers for sacrificing a lot for our country instead of being mean to them.
2.Looking at the situations from both perspectives allows us to have a more open mind towards the situation as we are able to realise what we thought before is therefore right or wrong. For example, at first the person did not know why their nature is to talk loudly however, after getting an further insight on the other person's perspective, allowed the person to have a deeper understanding.

I feel embarrassed as people whom i live together with in the same country feel so differently towards foreign workers. Just like how they do not like them, foreign workers may also not like us but we are the only ones making nasty comments about them you don't see them doing us any harm. So it's really just being rude and insensitive to foreign workers.

I feel bad for the foreign workers as they come from other countries all the way to Singapore to do low-paying jobs, work hard and earn money to send back to their families, yet they get criticized for doing their jobs.
2. We would be able to see why foreigners, for example, shout loudly during construction sites- it is not because they want to, but it is for them to have better communication so that everything flows smoothly. Many people do not know this, therefore they assume that foreign workers in the construction sites because they are "usually very loud" in their country.
