three takeaways from this video were that communists were brainwashing people to go work for them, you had to look at clues from people to tell whether they were a communist or not, and if they say they are a communist and are proud of it, they are one.
- the intended audience was suppose to be the people of america, because they wanted to show people what a communist looks like and how to tell if someone is one.
- the reactions were that most americans did not like communists and were scared that they were going to brainwash people
- the effectiveness was probably the one clip of the daughter leaving with the men and join the communist party because she was brainwashed and i think it was making people scared that that would happened to their loved ones. The message is to try your best to spot a communist when you see one, and try to stay away and not fall into their trap or trust them.

- I think the message of this video was not only to inform American citizens of the signs of a communist but also to scare them a little. The video did this by showing a short clip of a girl leaving her family to join the communist party.
- I think the first half of the video was pretty useless because almost every sign of a communist mentioned in the video seemed to be very obvious and didn't need to be said but the second half was effective in scaring citizens by portraying a frightening realistic event.
- I think the intended audience was all the citizens of America who were devoted to stopping the spread of communism in America.

HUAC was corrupt from top to bottom, with the leader embezzling money and others said to be communists.
- The intended audience was businesses because they need to be more aware of who they are letting into their company and how they could influence other workers or customers.
- This video was very effective because it allowed other companies to be more aware of who is in their company and how high up are they.
- The message was that businesses have to be aware of the ideas of their employees, especially employees who have a higher job status because they could be influencing their customers or others with their personal opinions.

It was also made for people to look out for others who may be communists based on their actions or certain things that they did.

It was also meant to send the message that communists would be hiding in plain sight, and that they were very convincing and would take even the best people you know. I think it was probably pretty effective for the time it was made, since it gave some realistic scenarios of where they could see communism in their everyday lives.
Three takeaways would be that the American government wanted the people to be so afraid of communism that they'd forget about their own problems at home, since they had more to worry about on the outside. They also described some situations in which there could be communism lurking but they were actually pretty normal human behaviors, so it wasn't the most accurate way to find communists, it was just generating more fear. The last takeaway would be that these kinds of things probably brought a lot of people together to fight against the greater evil, and we don't get that in America very often.

This video would have caused parents and children to question what kind of life they are actually living and if one or the other is a communist. They were scared that they didn't know who was really living in their house. The became paranoid and didn't trust anyone.
- The message of this video was that communists could be hiding in plain sight. The government wanted Americans to become paranoid and start asking questions because then they can get more communists found quicker. The only reason anyone found out about them was because they were famous. Another would be that the government was very desperate to publically degrade communists to make the people think that they were doing a good job fighting the evil in the world. The chairmen of HUAC would soon be convicted for embezzling thousands from the government during the war. Also on the committee an avowed segregationist and vocal anti-semite.
-People like studio moguls were called friendly witnesses who were sympathetic toward HUAC and did not need to be subpoenaed to testify. Also called 19 Holywood people who they knew were in a communist party, they had evidence that the FBI had collected and given to them for proof. They knew exactly who was in the party and gave it to HUAC.
- The confrontational demeanor of the hollywood 10 did little to help them. The image of HUAC was that they were a bunch of clowns, the 47 hearings discredit HUAC that they don't begin investigating Hollywood again until 1951. AMong colleagues and press HUAC is a joke and not taken seriously. From this Hollywood succumbs and folds.

- One takeaway from this video was that this was a way to spread fear among the American people. This allowed them to be afraid of everything and everyone around them and made them question the people around them.
- Another takeaway was that people should always be on the lookout for anything that could look like communism. Communism could look and sound like anything therefore people should always be on the lookout.
- Lastly this video was made to bring awareness of the large amount of communists people believed they were surrounded by and how they can be hiding anywhere.

- With so many in the communist party with Hollywood, it implies that their audience could have been supporting these film makers and their beliefs of the communist party. this could influence the people's view on government.
- this brought awareness to the possible amount of communists that could be within a company or community. It set as an example of what to do when there are communists amongst them.
- Another takeaway was how the government went about finding these communists. This shows how dedicated they were to finding communists and how they would do anything to find them all.
