Kadin was engaging in various literacy practices with the help of his family and teachers. He was exposed to a print rich environment from home to preschool as his mother used to read him stories and his school had poems, rhymes, alphabet charts etc. he was also exposed to the skill of listening side by side of reading when his teacher used to read stories to them. He was also given ample exposure to self explorative reading while he used to go to the library. This might have helped him in manipulating his ways of how to read a book or how to look at a book at the first place. the fact that Kadin was practicing fingers to track the words tells that he might have seen someone practicing the same which was possible because of the exposure. He was also introduced to reading in an informal setting in a play-way method like when he used to read recipes while his father used to cook.
Kadin used inflection in his voice which tells that he was also aware of voice modulation and on which word to emphasize more while reading aloud a sentence. He had also somewhat learnt the skill of hypothesizing with the help pf pictures while reading.
Enough exposure to print rich environment since birth helped Kadin be able to know how to handle a book and he relied less on texts and more on pictures. He was able to hypothesize the story just by looking at the pictures. His practice of repeated reading helped him locate the text which was related to the pictures.
