The plan around this is very unclear. We would need to be stipended to teach these additional hours.

In June we decided as a staff that we didn't want to extend homeroom past the first 3 days. We want 1st period to feel like it matters to kids, and filler days are going to work against that.

Is this supposed to say Period 1? Are the days correct?

Thank you for finding this error.  Two errors were corrected in the staff Handbook.    It now reads:
There are four departments at the McCormack: ELA, math, science, and social studies. Each is comprised of teachers across grades 6-8 who teach that subject. Departments meet one time each week during Period 1
  • Mondays: Social Studies
  • Tuesdays: Math
  • Wednesdays: ELA
  • Thursdays: Science
***Period 1 Monday is Homeroom Circles, though, correct??
