         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>The Pearl</strong>: The pearl represents anger and greed, because it always brings out Kino's anger to other people, also Kino is greed because of the pearl, to the point that he would kill people for it.<br><br><strong>The Canoe</strong>: The canoe represents the family, because everytime Kino thinks about the canoe, he thinks about how his family passed down the canoe from generations, and thinks about how much value the canoe has for his family.<br><br><strong>The Scorpion</strong>: The scorpion represents evil, because it caused great turmoil for everyone in the village when coyotito was stung, it made the baby very sick, and almost caused him to die.</div>]]></description>
