Q1: I felt really bad and makes me kind of frustrated that this could be sexism and racism as its disgusting to the entire school compound.

Definition: Cyberbullying is the action of hurting someone's feelings creating negative emotions in the victim, like physical bullying, through the internet. This can come in many forms like saying harsh words, or writing hurtful comments to someone.

Statistic: Statistics from a cyberbullying awareness website indicates that, out of all social media platforms, Instagram has the most cyberbullying cases, followed by Facebook, then Snapchat. According to cyberbullying statistics, Instagram is among one of the most common platform for cyberbullying, closely followed by Facebook and Snapchat.

After watching the video (option c), I feel sorry for what Abbie had to go through. I still feel that cyberbullying isn't right. Cyberbullying can cause really negative effects on some people. It may cause them to develop suicidal thoughts or depression. One realization of the reality of the cyberbullying situation in Malaysia is that cyberbullying happens way more often than we think as the victims are scared to come forward to talk about it therefore we think that it doesn't happen a lot, but it does.

Task 3 -

Bullies usually just intent to hurt their victim and to make them fee bad about themselves. Another reason could be because they are trying to seek attention and that they think it is "cool" to bully other people. Cyberbullying usually happens by somebody leaking an embarrassing photo of the victim and then it is followed by hateful and mean comments.

STRESS AND TRAUMA:
Our data shows that those who bully are far more likely than average to have experienced a stressful or traumatic situation in the past 5 years.

LOW SELF-ESTEEM:
In order to mask how they actually feel about themselves, some people who bully focus attention on someone else. They try to avoid any negative attention directed at them by deflecting. But know they might look in the mirror at home and hate the way they look.

I feel sad for Abbie as she had only wanted to go to a party. Tasha was not nice to have posted something because of something that didn't even involve her.

I empathise heavily with Abbie, also feeling a lot of sympathy for her. I know how it's like when people whom you thought were friends start posting things about you that aren't even true sometimes.

I realise that cyberbullying is everywhere. No where is safe anymore, including Malaysia. Ranking 2nd in cyberbullying (in Asia, amongst youths), Malaysia is not only unsafe, but one of the most dangerous places in Asia on the internet. I used to think that cyberbullying was rare, and only happened in Europe or America, but since I have looked up the statistics, watched the videos, experienced a bit, nowhere is safe.
