         <title>Prenatal Development </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Prenatal development is the process from when the baby is conceived to when the baby is born. There are three stages, the first stage is the germinal witch is from conception to two weeks. The next stage is embryonic, which is from 3 to 8 weeks. The last stage is the fetal stage, occurs from week 9 to birth. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Amniocentesis</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Amniocentesis is a  procedure that is preformed on pregnant women around 15–20 weeks into their pregnancy. During this procedure is where they check the positions of the fetus and placenta and the doctors remove small amounts of amniotic fluid from the amniotic sac. The amniotic fluid that has been withdrawn gets sent to a lab for analysis to check for any fetal issues that can occur.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The second trimester in a women's pregnancy occurs from weeks 14 to 27. During this time, the fetus has grown significantly, with all the major organs developed. The second trimester is where you are able to determine the sex of the baby, and when the baby can hear, taste, and feel. The second trimester is where majors changes have occurred for both mother and baby.   </p>]]></description>

         <title>Problems in Prenatal Development</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Problems in prenatal development can come from a few different factors. Certain issues can come from genetics, the environment, maternal health problems, or general possibilities. Birth defects can come from your genetics, such as chromosomal disorders, or other conditions that have peen passed down from their family members. Problems can also occur from the environment they are being brought up in, for example substance abuse while pregnant can lead to things such as fetal alcohol spectrum disorders. Conditions that the mother also have while pregnant can lead to difficulties during pregnancy along with the risk of causing specific conditions, for example mothers with high blood pressure can have the possibility to lead to a premature birth. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg is planted outside the uterus. Most Ectopic pregnancies occur when the fertilized egg ends up in the Fallopian tubes. Ectopic pregnancy can cause a number of problems for women, including damage to the Fallopian tubes, hormonal imbalances, infections, and the possibility of infertility. Ectopic pregnancies are very rare and only occur on about 50–100 pregnancies. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Birth defects can occur from genetic factor, environmental factor, and unknown factors. Genetic birth defects are mutations in genes or chromosomal differences causing certain conditions. Environmental birth defects come from exposure to certain toxins from the mother while pregnant. Environmental birth defects can be easily prevented by the mother eating right and staying away from alcohol or drugs while pregnant. A lot of birth defects also have no direct cause, but babies can be born will all different types of deformities or conditions. </p>]]></description>

Premature labor can occur due to certain health conditions that the mothers had or from their lifestyle, some premature labors are preventable as long as the mother is making healthy choices throughout their pregnancy. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Throughout the three trimesters, there are certain tests that mothers need to get done throughout the duration of their pregnancies. During the first trimester, mother often get screening tests done to determine any risks of genetic or developmental disorders, along with an ultrasound. During the second trimester, diagnostics test are done such as Amniocentesis and Chorionic villus sampling along with another ultrasound. During the last trimester, another ultrasound is done along with monitoring of fetal health. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Infertility is a disease that affects both females and males when they are not able to achieve pregnancy.  Infertility can be caused by a number of things including ovulatory disordered, endometriosis, low sperm count, or low testosterone. There are a few treatment options for infertility like, taking certain medications, surgery, and intrauterine insemination. In the United States, infertility is often less common, with only 9% of men and only 11% of women experiencing fertility issues. </p>]]></description>
