She has been that one person every kid needs in their life. I am the kind of auntie I am because of her. She says we share a brain sometimes because we think so much alike. It makes me proud every time I hear it. She paid for my braces, she took me traveling, she supported my interests, she put me in my place on occasion, but most of all, she taught me to believe in myself. I still strive to be wise and kind and brave like her every day. She has taken me on carousels my whole life, every time we could find one. I took her to The Carousel of Dreams when she moved here, along with my niece Evelyn and the rest of the family. Bella is a foster. lol. Her mom works 10 hour shifts so she thinks she's mine. The black one is Dillon. We call him the Stealth Doodle because you can't see him, he is so sneaky that he can get into things without making his collar jingle, he's brilliant, and he seriously knows how to whisper. He is an emotional support dog. If I only have a couple hours to stay, the drive is worth it. They gave her a sticker and checked her gear. They let her check out their truck too. It was great. My second son Brendan. He was always in such a hurry he would try to wear his jeans to bed so he didn't have to I time getting dressed in the morning. He passed at 19 and after he died, I always thought, it made sense why he was always in a hurry. I think his soul knew he had to squeeze a lot of living into a short time. He was a FORCE to be sure. He made me see the world in a more accepting way and be open to things I may have been afraid of without his influence. PLAY THUNDER!!!" And the whole house stops what they are doing and runs to the kitchen and sings at the top of their lungs while we dance like we know how. We usually have to do it a couple times before were done, but picture it. Two littles, two giant Doodles jumping and dancing (and they really do), and the adults all losing their minds in their jammies at 7 am. I challenge you! Try it and see how your day goes.
