Assessment is not graded. The purpose of an assessment is to learn more about the status of a students understanding. There are various stages of assessment, but all of which are to understand the progress of a student. Meanwhile, Evaluation is the testing/final judgment of that progress. In a sense, it is telling the student "after assessment, feedback, and continued growth, what is your final status of your understanding"
