The whale shark is not from the whale’s family, the whale shark is from the shark’s family. It is the biggest shark, the largest specimen found is 12 m long and weighs 21 tons.

The main characteristics of the whale shark is that it has flat and rounded nose, which is one and half meters wide. It has several rows of teeth in his mouth but he doesn’t use it because they are very small.

It is dark gray and covered with horizontal lines and moles.

It has two dorsal and pectoral fins, a rear fin with which it drives to swim, although it is very slow. The whale shark passively eat, it doesn’t hunt. It opens its mouth and eats everything that enters through it.

We usually find it in the Yucatan peninsula, in the islands of Honduras, in the Galapagos islands, Filipinas, Tailandia, in the west of Australia… it likes the tropics.

By Dylan Sánchez Pozo

HELLO DYLAN!
GOOD WORK!
