Furthermore, people in this category support collectivism in terms of policy protecting and supporting the best interests of all citizens. Opposite of tough, one is more tender when it comes to aiding small-time criminals or those struggling with addiction by showing compassion and understanding. 1. Female: Being a young woman has affected my views due to seeing firsthand how women see things in terms of women's thoughts surrounding what the believe they should be allowed to do. I have had a better comprehension of ones feelings being a girl and seeing things from this perspective as opposed to men who think in another manner.





2. Mexican: Coming from a family whose parents and relatives immigrated into the United States, I stand strong in terms of pro-immigration policies. When it comes to illegal immigrants and their children,  an opportunity to create a life and contribute to society should be given.  The government should also be focused on keeping families together instead of tearing them apart through the deportation of their loved ones.






3. Middle class: Living in this class has permitted me to value what we have as i notice my family and i are in better standards than those below. I see economically challenged individuals in the streets, ignored by everyone, as if they don't exist. Then I look at those way up high, comfortable in their throne so to speak, where money that could be used to raise others from ruin is wasted on pointless luxuries. This has made me think about how the rich should be taxed higher than everyone because they aren't doing anything meaningful with their fortune.  This would surely accommodate the general public as having an equal ability to achieve a class.

Family: The most probable reason why I came out as democrat was because my parents are democrats. Then as my siblings grew older they too assumed the democratic label. Finally, I've grown as well and am now rather aware of the ins and outs of what each group believes allowing me to decide my ideology.







2. School: I feel as if school has had no impact on my political identity. Up until now, none of my classes had even gotten into depth about the vast numbers of political identities. I think this is a good thing as politics and school should reside as two separate topics. 







3. Religion:  I am a catholic, where the beliefs see multiple topics, like abortion and same-sex marriage, as morally wrong and an insult towards what god had intended. Having to go to church every Sunday has had no impact on my personal views on the issues. I understand both sides of the quite controversial topics but have stuck to my own way of seeing things, that people have the choice to decide what happens in their life and no one should be able to control that. 








4. Peers: My friends, the people I get along with and talk to, have had some influence on my views. There are a couple who have brought up current topics and have thus shared their personal thoughts on the issue. This has let me see what society would look with and without freedom, security, and equality.







5. Media: Social apps, like Snapchat and Instagram, sometimes include topics of political appeal. I see peoples comments on certain posts regarding societies standards and what it accepts v.s what it rejects.

Civil Rights: Equality is something I find to be very important in order to 'end discrimination. When it comes to race, sex, gender, ethnicity, religion, language, etc, this diversity should be absorbed into society rather than being thrown under the rug. Diversity is what makes America unique as it's a place where you can satisfy your American Dream, well at least it should be.










2. Immigration: I think immigration reforms should concentrate on criminals instead of families that depend on one another as it leads to a vast sea of mass destruction. In place of kicking out all immigrants and seeing them as a burden to the "united States, the government should aid them in establishing a life to make a living here. We're all a community that deserves to partake in some of the same basic rights as those citizen-born. This includes an education and a equal chance of obtaining a job.







3. Jobs and Economy: What I want for all Americans is to succeed and be economically secure to live comfortably. I would like to see a world where people are payed a solid wage to not live life from paycheck to paycheck. A plan should be put into motion to revive jobs and cut taxes for hardworking Americans in order to restore ones control of their money. In doing so, the general public could feel secure of their earnings as they would be guaranteed a strong, included healthcare plan as well as recieving pay when taking leave for maternity or family reasons.
