Why did you select this piece of work for your conference piece? 
I selected this piece of work for many reasons, but my main reason was because I felt as if it described me best. It highlighted a traumatic event in my life, and the aftermath. I was allowed to share part of my story, and what I have been through.  What skills have you learned from doing this piece?
I learned many skills from writing this, and visited skills I didn't know I knew. I learned many new words, such as “implore” and “importunity.” I learned how to connect the theme to the message of the short story, and so much more. I tend to struggle when it comes to breaking down text, and finding patterns; despite my brain constantly looking for patterns for tests, I fail to recognize them when reading. I can notice obvious things, such as a message the author is trying to give, but I fail to notice the writing style often.
