However, in Judaism, based on a verse in the Torah, disagreements about legal issues would be resolved by accepting the majority. This was implemented starting in 191 B.C. through the Sanhedrin which was like a supreme court. However, there was a demise. The eventual solution became communal authority. There has been many issues with legal uniformity as well as legislation. Interpretation is important in divine law, but also difficult.
