Wyden is currently ahead of Perkins by 11%. Based on the history of Oregon senate voting, the odds are in favor of the democratic candidate. In the last 20 years, the republican party has only won 2 senate races in the state of Oregon. 

The demographics also support the democratic party in Oregon. Oregon has more educated women than men who are likely to support the idea of pro-choice and women tend to vote more than men. Though, the white population takes up more than 80% of the population, this might skew the results in a different direction because white people are less
likely to worry about choosing a senator that represents equality.
