Because they have laws about so many aspects of their lives, how they eat, where they pray, our festivals etc., it makes them stand out. Many people did not, and still do not, understand them. This has led to fear or even hatred. This has happened to Jews over thousands of years. Orthodox-Known for their strict observance of traditional jewish law and ritual. Hasidic jews have an experience with god which they have direct communication by praying and worshiping.
Reform-Is a religion that values ethical traditions over strict observance of jewish laws. Most of the jews living in the US follow reform judaism traditions.
Conservative-it is between Orthodox and reform. The motto is "tradition is change" which indicates the middle movement. They honor traditions of judaism and allowing modernization.
