I noted the behavior of the subjects. It served as interpretations, as I did not engage in conversation with those whom I observed. Therefore, their own interpretations are left unanswered. This could be solved through the method of interviews. In my notes I can see, that I note down stuff that only I would know, I have an extra knowledge, which can lead to assumptions based on personal insight and not on facts. Beside that, I performed participant observation, because I didn't tell them that I was observing them. That was difficult to manage the roles of being an anthropologist and a daughter. It was clear for me, that I should also do interviews, to get their insight and not base my assumptions on only my own knowledge and observations. - Participant observation, more precisely the kind where I ask to join them on their trips. So, I would stay in my role as an observer, but with permission to follow on semi-stalker level. 


Did your observation involve a form of participation, and if so what kind of participation?

- I pretended to be someone waiting for the buss at the stop across the street, hiding my true intentions behind my phone, on which I took notes, so there was a kind of participation, but no interaction.
