Scooby and Shaggy are scared because they think that they were taken by zombies.

by Abbie Klein
Fiction
Level L
Read Oct 10
This book is about a little boy named Freddy. He is excited to look for leprechauns during recess at school on St. Patrick's Day. He is bullied by a kid named Max, and to avoid getting pinched by him, he makes sure he wears green to school.
I did not like this book because when reading it the character never really developed to me. It was a really simple read.
Kids who like this book would be interested in leprechauns and St. Patrick's Day.
I could use this book as a fun read during reading time around in March.

by Lois Lowry
Fiction
Level N
Read Oct 11
This is a really funny book about a little girl named Gooney Bird. Gooney is a really eccentric little girl who dresses funny in pajamas and cowboy boots. She tells interesting stories about her life that her classmates and teacher listen to with eagerness, because she enjoys being the center of attention.
I like this book because Gooney is so funny. She tells over the top stories, that will have you wondering.
This story is interesting to kids who likes story telling and needs help with their imagination in grades 1st-5th.
I could use this book to read to my students before we began our writing time, to inspire their writing.
