Wastewater is a mixture of water and dirty waste. It is the used water that goes down drains from places such as houses and schools.
Wastewater goes to sewers that carry it to get treated. It is imperative that wastewater is treated because the waste found in the water is detrimental for the health of humans and it is harmful to the environment.

The large objects that are removed are buried in landfills.

In real life, the wastewater passes through metal bar screens that trap the large objects. The objects that were trapped by the simulation were rocks and small pieces of tea bags.
