A northern mocking is a nocturnal type of bird. There behavior is necessary forsurvival because they use songs to attract mates and to claim territory for no birds to claim it. They migrate but they do not hibernate because they are birds.

If winter comes or it gets to cold they will go south away from there normal biome. If a forest fire, flood, or etc happens they would probably got to northern Mexico. It would go to a habitat that has area with open ground and with shrubby vegetation like hedges, fruiting bushes, and thickets. When foraging on the ground, it prefers grassy areas, rather than bare spots. They like to breed in the northern parts of the worldlike The U.S.. They live near there relatives the tropical mocking birds in the Bahamas.

Did you know The northern mockingbird is known for its intelligence and has also been noted in North American culture. A 2009 study showed that the bird was able to recognize individual humans, particularly noting those who had previously been intruders or threats. Also birds recognize their breeding spots and return to areas in which they had greatest success in previous years. Urban birds are more likely to demonstrate this behavior. Finally, the mockingbird has influenced United States culture in multiple ways. The bird is a state bird of five different states, has been used in book titles, and has also been used in popular songs and lullabies among other appearances in U.S. culture
