„Mihai Eminescu” Secondary School is situated in the city centre. Giurgiu is a small town from the south of Romania. We border Bulgaria and we have Danube River and Friendship Bridge in common. Hello !
We have participated this project from Aydın province, Turkey. I’d like to tell our city. Aydın is in the west of Turkey. It is a big and known city. In our city, it is called that “ oil comes from the mountains and honey comes from the pleatues”. Aydın is both agriculture and sea tourism city. In addition to these, there is rich history under this city. Fig is the most known symbol. The best figs in country are here. Our school is in a small town, Germencik. Ortaklar is a neihbourhood which is known “çöpşiş”. It is done with small meat on the small sticks. And it is really delicious. Most of the students’ families work on farms (fig and olive) and restourants selling çöpşiş.
Our school has almost 700 students. It is a new school in this town. It was founded 7 years ago. And our students are so enthusiastic to learn new cultures. I and my lovely students are so glad to be a part of this project.
