Holidays have a big impact on me because they mean a lot to me. To me holidays mean family time, food, and fun. Family time because I hang out with my cousins, aunts, and uncles. My family comes from Durango, most known as La tierra de los Alacranes. Durango is located in Mexico it is bounded by the states of Chihuahua to the north, and Zactecas to the east, Jalisco and Nayarit to the south of, and Sinola to the west. My Ethnicity is Mexican American, I was born in America and my parents in mexico. I was raised a Spanish speaker and learned the amazing language and history of my family. My parents both came from Durango mex at the same time. It took them 2 times to try and then they finally made it. My mom came from more of a white side because both of her parents are not colored but, not all mexicans are white like my dad came from people of color. I love both my grandparents. I just wished I met my moms parents and my grandparents. I love my family even though they are a bit too much sometimes.

Traveling

I have always wanted to travel around the world. I went to Durango Mexico (where my parents are from) it was a blast. We went to the rivers with my cousins, cousins saw a bull and a snake. It was also raining which made it 10 times more fun. But, I also found out I hate planes they are, scare or just a baby. That is the only place I have traveled to but, when I am older I plan to travel the world and get over my fear of planes. Also, I am going to Las Vegas in February for the first time not on a plane but, car. I think that's considering traveling.

My style defines me because I can wear a crazy outfit and a very plain outfit. It just depends on my mood or what the day brings.What it might say about my culture is that sometimes when I go for a crazy/extravagant outfit for parties sometimes I wear boots and flared jeans like a cute crop top. That to my family's culture means that you're ready to party and have a great time. Also, another thing that might have to do with my style that I say about my culture is called Fresita style. It basically has a lot to do with pink and it originally comes from mexico. What it has to do with my culture is that you can make a cute outfit with some cute Mexican clothing items that have pink and everyone in my family likes pink so they just think it pretty and classy.

Foods that most reflect me are Gorditas Duranguenses and Discad Duranguenses. These dishes most reflect me because me and my mom make the gorditas and it makes our bond stronger also. Me and my mom just spend time talking about how life’s going and it just makes it fun for me and my mom to talk about those things. . Gorditas relate to family history because my mom and aunts also made that food together. My mom has told me lots of stories and they remind me of her. Foods that most reflect me are Gorditas Duranguenses and Discad Duranguenses Gorditas. Discad reflects on me because my family likes after a big party like a quinceanera and everybody is hungover (adults only) . My interests and hobbies are playing soccer, playing outside with my cousins and lastly and most importantly using my phone. These are my interests and hobbies because they help get active not one but, using my phone because it helps relax me. I joined soccer in 2021, a good thing I did because it's so fun to feel the wind or sun hit your body when you're running. Playing outside with my cousins makes me spend family time and you can be you playing with family. Lastly, and most importantly, using my phone helps me escape reality and relax me. It's just fun looking at tiktoks, youtube videos, and social media and you can do that on one little device! How cool!!
