Assessment and Feedback

One area that I see that can be greatly affected by mobile collaboration is assessment and feedback. As mentioned on this website, having automatic AI generated grading and feedback can give students an immediate check-in on where they're at with their learning. This will help guide not only individual student work, but also group projects and opportunities for students to mentor each other. When students can more frequently see where they are at with their own learning, it will open more doors to help others.

Mobile collaboration allows students and professionals in the workforce to engage in project-based learning more efficiently and effectively. They can share documents as mentioned in this website and collaborate and edit the same document simultaneously. They can also instantly get feedback from each other by communicating through apps on the go and collaborate even if they are situated in different places around the globe. AI comes into play to support project work such as using AI tools to analyze data collaboratively.

When we talk about mobile collaboration, I think the ability to bounce ideas off one another is one of the best advancements. This can be through peer feedback on assessment and projects, but also in an informal way. Some of the best learning occurs informally, and mobile collaboration allows an interconnection between learning to exist both constantly and without the stress of formality, although LMS systems often turn communication into formal occurrences. If discussions were not marked, and we had the extra time, I think the risks in the ideas we explore and questions we ask would be greater. Just look at a Reddit board.

Projects Within The Community

Great work on the project! I think mobile collaboration provides students with the opportunity to create projects that exceed the walls of their school. This could look like working with other schools and their students or working with members of the community. I think the more we can have a take our learning beyond the classroom the more meaningful the experience can be for our students.
