Pillars of Iman

The Pillars of Iman (Faith) are the fundamental beliefs that every Muslim must hold in their heart. These six pillars form the foundation of a Muslim’s faith and understanding of the world. They are:

1. Belief in Allah: The central belief in the oneness of Allah, who is the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of the universe. Allah is unique, without partner, and all-powerful.

2. Belief in the Angels: Muslims believe in the existence of angels, who are created by Allah from light. Angels serve various roles, such as conveying Allah’s messages (like Angel Jibril), recording deeds, and executing Allah’s commands.

3. Belief in the Divine Books: Muslims believe in the scriptures revealed by Allah to His prophets. These include the Torah (Tawrat) given to Moses, the Psalms (Zabur) given to David, the Gospel (Injil) given to Jesus, and the Quran, the final and complete revelation given to Prophet Muhammad.

4. Belief in the Prophets and Messengers: Muslims believe in all the prophets sent by Allah to guide humanity, starting from Adam to the final prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon them all). All prophets conveyed the same essential message of monotheism.

5. Belief in the Day of Judgment: Muslims believe that there will come a Day of Judgment when all humans will be resurrected and held accountable for their deeds. This is the day when Allah will judge individuals based on their faith and actions, and reward or punish them accordingly.

6. Belief in Qadar: Muslims believe in Allah’s complete knowledge and control over everything that happens in the universe. Everything, good or bad, happens according to Allah’s will and wisdom. Muslims trust in Allah’s plan while striving to make good choices in life.
