Throughout the reading of this article, we noticed that the most important elements when applying a reading activity would be: autonomy, real context, and entertainment. Even more, those elements are constantly connected when they function. Being able to choose and also to interact is the best example of how autonomy should work in a reading activity.
However, as a group, we also noticed that sometimes things must be challenging in order to make sense, but at the same time, trying to keep a wide range of materials seems to be utopian and not likely to work. And here there is a constraint, owing to the fact that, as teachers, we may have a wide range of books to offer; notwithstanding, we need to be aware of keeping the level of English not so different throughout every option. As we were present in the talk concerning reading activity, we could relate the fact of being able to choose books, with the wide rage factor. In other words, if one is able to choose something disregarding its difficulty, this learner can easily progress and learn.
To finish with, we also discussed that the fact of having plenty of books to offer automatically means providing relevance to learners' interest, which instantly also means giving autonomy to them.
