The slowdown in population growth within industrial societies is a result of the diversity of lifestyles among industrial economies. Having a greater number of children in industrial economies, comes with greater expenses, in order to educate them. Thus creating a more favorable lifestyle which is to reduce the number of children had, or have none at all.

Wealthy and industrialized nations like the United States should no be obligated to support the economic growth in Africa due to this being a refusal of industrialization within their continent. Many regions within Sub-Saharan Africa are primarily dependent on the agricultural lifestyle which causes them to view the "many children" lifestyle as beneficial. Rather than encouraging the development of their economies, these regions have and most likely will, stick to the agricultural lifestyle. This will soon become a population issue, but by them not encouraging or promoting the industrialization, these regions are bringing this disaster upon themselves. Wealthy nations would quickly develop economic struggles if they were obligated to support an entire continent on top of their own.

Wealthy and industrialized nations like the United States should not be required to support a whole other country. The United States has became wealthy from its own success and it also has a large population to hold and sustain. Africa relies on agriculture and if they fall off and still depend on agriculture, its not going to grow fast because farming has the lowest growing rate. Instead they should develop industry and better technigly. The country should realize whats best for the people and not depend on another country to help out with their style of living.

I believe that wealthy and industrialized countries should help Africa with its economic growth. The United States for example has the duty as the world's super power, to help countries that are struggling with their economies and help them to have a better standard for life. With the amount of people Africa has and the brilliant minds we have in all of the industrialized nations, we can help them grow their economies as well, they can maybe help that industrialized nation in return.
