The fastest way to reach your destination is by car, which takes about 35 minutes without traffic jams. There are also recommended parking lots at the destination, so this is the most convenient way for students to travel.

Shanghai Haiwan National Forest Park was built by Shanghai Century Forest Development Co., Ltd. and was jointly funded and established in 1999 by Bright Food Group and Shanghai Urban Investment Corporation. In 2004, the State Forestry Administration officially named the project and in 2005, the Shanghai Municipal Government officially approved the project's overall plan.

Shanghai Haiwan National Forest Park is a large-scale artificial urban ecological forest that simulates nature with the forest as the main body and integrating seedling production, leisure tourism, scientific research and popular science education. It has been quietly built since construction began in 1999. After eight years of careful construction, it has become the largest artificial "green lung" in Shanghai.

As shown on the Wikipedia page, Shanghai Haiwan National Forest Park has been listed as a nationally designated protected area in China.

To feel nature is not just to walk into nature, but to observe with eyes, listen with ears, touch with hands, and express with colors.

"Five senses of nature, color exploration" is a special activity customized for children, allowing children to immerse themselves in nature and feel the beauty of nature with their hearts.

【Activities】:

Inherit the first knowledge of colors: learn about the three primary colors of red, yellow and blue, and lead the children to make color disk cards.

Zero natural collection: A forest exploration begins here to find natural colors. The purple of berries, the green of leaves, the white of wild chrysanthemums and the brown of hazelnuts are all included in our color palette!

*Handmade: Pick up some small wooden sticks in the forest and make them into photo frames. Glue them together with the color palette cards to create a color flag fluttering in the wind.

Shanghai Haiwan National Forest Park has a large area of lakes, so I think it can involve courses on water quality detection in the medical field.

This course integrates STEM (including physical science, engineering, etc.) teaching concepts. What students will explore are methods of obtaining pure water. Students will work together to find filter materials, develop model hypotheses for the purifier, and then use experiments to validate the model. Through ongoing experiments, students will learn the science of the water purification process and design their own water purifier.

Course Origin:

Most people take clean water for granted, but a natural disaster or a mountain trip that takes longer than expected can result in a situation where access to water is no longer available.

Course objectives:

Lessons that teach students about the effects of not having enough (clean, available) water

Recognize the importance of water

Learn what happens to organisms contaminated by dirty water

Recognize the effectiveness of the materials provided in removing impurities from water

Learn how to survive in the wild and learn to use the natural things around you to get clean water.

There are many different kinds of birds in Bainiao Lake. I think it is very suitable to organize a parent-child nature education game. And this can be used as a long-term parent-child outdoor activity to cultivate children's sense of responsibility.

After parents and classmates make bird feeders together, clamping them on branches will attract winter birds to come and look for food. In the cold winter, there is a fixed feeding spot, so the birds don't have to look for food everywhere.

This activity can not only educate children to care for nature, but also allow them to immersively observe birds together. Education on bird cognition can be carried out in daily life, increasing knowledge reserves and cultivating children's observation skills.

In the process of making feeders, students can also develop their fine movements and concentration, and it is also very useful for practicing hand-eye coordination. In addition, during the process of observing birds outdoors, the process of birds flying near and far can also be a good exercise for eye muscles and scientifically prevent myopia.

The park has rich vegetation and a good natural environment, which means that there must be many types of insects living here. After studying plants, I hope to lead students in making insect specimens.

Preparation materials: Students have a flower or part of a plant in the park, and an insect (to protect insects, only insects that are on the verge of death are selected). We will also provide exquisite flowers and insects to choose from. Students will carefully select from the provided materials and their own materials to make a total of 4 specimens.

Highlights:

1. Integrate STEM science: In the process of making specimens, students will personally experience the wonders of insects, explore the mysteries of nature, and cultivate scientific thinking.

2. Creative production: Through the skillful hands of the students, beautiful flowers and precious insects are cleverly combined to create unique specimens and leave unforgettable memories.

3. Ecological exploration: Lead students to observe insects and flowers up close, feel the wonderful ecosystem, and increase their respect for nature and awareness of protection.
