Just a few days ago my daughter came to me with a sense of worry on her face and asking her what happened, she said that mommy those penguins which we had seen in Tasmania are under danger;they need help. What will happen if they become extinct just like the dinosaurs?? What if I will never get a chance to meet my best friends again?? Please do something mommy,please. That was something which took me aback. So,I, Vincy Moradiya, being a member of the Tasmanian Conservation Trust is here to share about some of the efforts implied by the elderly women who are trying to save those blessings of god. 

To know more about them and to help those innocent creatures, I myself visited to Tasmania where I found about the several attempts made by the penguin lovers and one of them included scrubbing and cleansing their bodies to remove the death trap which unfortunately didn't work because they again divided into the deep oceans to search for their prey which caused the oil to stick on them again. 

And now, finally, after many attempts to remove the oil from the penguins, we have come across an idea which is actually effective;weaving woolen jumpers and making the penguins wear them. Yes, it might sound something weird but believe me, it seriously works with wool being waterproof which helps in both; preventing the oil to stick on to their skin and also doesn't make it feel too heavy for the penguins. 

Letters were being sent to all the penguin lovers around he works especially elderly women who have actually taken it seriously and they have received about thousand of jumpers from all over the world. The length has to be 40 cm and the colour and pattern depends on you . So start on your thinking caps and try to make some amazing jumpers.The penguin lovers have done it but now it's your time to do something in your free time and support the efforts of the members. 

I hope you are convinced and let's all be the change that we want to see because it is us only who complain about the problems of industrialisation when it's us only who has created it and who misuse it . We had recently received reports by the Tasmanian conservation trust about the Tasmanian fairy penguins being covered with oil because of illegal dumping of oil in the sea which did cause extinction in 2001. Now these little and cute penguins are on the verge of leaving us in a trauma! this is all because the feathers getting clogged with life-threatening and menacing oil. It was like they were almost extinct. Knock Knock ! who's there, penguin, penguin who? the fairies who wont be seen in the zoo. Dosen’t this sound too grief-strickening! It does right, i felt the same at that moment.Moreover you all know that the trust cleaned up the feathers of these penguins but as usual they went back into the sea planning to have a gala time but were stuck with the huge problem once again. After a few months all this news was put up on the television out of the blue there were 100 woollen jumpers received from all over the world, that was quite scandalising for the penguins to be safe.

I know you people out here must be bored listening to my montonuous speech but this is something really serious. There is a scientific logic behind this that the jumpers for the penguins could provide warmth and make it a comfortable one. Just imagine, what if pixie dust is sprinkled all over and the fairies are back to be cuddled and oogled all day long. To do this, just a bit is to be done that is knit some jumpers! thats all the input needed from your side. We all know that the penguins are new to this so we need to make sure the sweaters are soft. A very good morning to one and all present here. I Deshna Rathod a member of a worldwide Tasmanian Conservation campaign would like to talk to you about a very serious topic. Yes, a serious topic! Have you heard about a bird that lives in Antartic wearing a woollen coat? I am sure you all must be knowing the first part of the question but are baffled in the second part. Isn’t it? Its penguins! Yes, the fairy little, cut, adorable penguins!

In summary, as we all know these fairy, cosy and white little penguins were already endangered species and were probably going to be extinct in 2001. Please let me know, how you would feel if someone leaves you in a dirty place or if you were dumped in the sea that was totally oily? It goes without saying, that you will feel bad. Undoubtedly,  the why are we dumping the disgusting oil in the sea. Moreover, nothing will happen to us but however, will harm the penguins.

To dealt with it, we the volunteers of Tasmanian Conservation Trust have plans to go ahead to save them by making woollen coats for the little ones to save them rather than killing them. In addition, we have received a huge number of woollen jumpers that were knitted by the well wishers. Yes, woollen jumpers! Isn’t that interesting?

We all wear woollens right? And must be knowing about wool. Additionally, it would protect the penguins from extinction as it is water repellent and there a chemical reaction takes place which keeps them warm.

Just imagine yourself covered in dangerous, life threatening, lethal, black oil. How would you think. Disgusting right? Now think how the penguins would feel in the same deadly oil. Since 2001 there has been illegal oil dumping in the sea’s of Tasmania. Isn’t this mean of us. The dumping has caused many of the cute, little fairy penguins turn black and die. Above all, it was evidently found out that these penguins were adamant on returning back to the same spot. Is the sickness worth going back to the familiar territory. This matter needs to be dealt with immediately.

10000-For of you’ll this might be only a number but these many number of Tasmanian penguins are dying each year-shocking, right. Now some of you’ll might think what can we do about this? You’ll can do something for these beautiful creatures. It has been scientifically proved that wool is a vital water repellent. When water reacts with fibres in  wool, a reaction takes place and heat is produced. This would make the penguins feel better. Although they will not like to wear it at first, just like we don’t like to take medicines.

I insist you’ll to make a contribution, not of money but a woollen jumper. It is a humble request to all of you. Today I am addressing 100 of you, tomorrow you will address another 100, like this millions of us can join hands and walk towards the same goal of saving these ‘Fairy Penguins’.

So friends let’s work shoulder to shoulder. Instead of sitting on your comfortable couches and giving off comments go ahead and knit jumpers. Thank you all for lending me your precious time. Live and let live. 

These little penguins are a victim to the illegal dumping of oil in the sea. I would like to urge on the fact that this illegal dumping of oil is the reason of their death. In spite of us helping and saving the penguins they were dying. We found that the penguins dive into the sea with oil to hunt on fish and get the oil stick to their feathers, which later kills them.

As a volunteer I strongly oppose to the illegal dumping of oil in the sea. Why do these acquitted penguins gain trouble because of us? Don’t they have equal rights to live as we have? The illegal dumping of oil in water bodies should be stopped or else the day is not far when the penguins will be a part of the extinct list soon.

All I am requesting you’ll to do is knit. Yes my friends you’ll hearD it right. Knit. This is the least we can do for them. Sit at your homes in your own space and knit and I’m not even giving you’ll a specific number of how many jumpers you’ll have to knit. You have the time to knit one, great, if more than it’s even better. All you have to remember is that the jumpers should be 40cm long. Even if we receive one from all of you’ll, it’ll sum up to a great number. But please do your bit .it will save a life. 

The jumpers are made of wool and it is known that when the wool reacts an exothermic reaction takes place giving out heat which keeps them warm. Although the penguins don’t seem to like it , it is essential for them . so my friends , I request you’ll to save these innocent lives .let us work shoulder to shoulder and make this successful .i would like to thank you’ll for lending me a patient ear and I’m sure you all will implement what I just said .
