Most people take simple things like this for granted because we are able to everyday unlike some other countries and other situations people are i. Lennie and George want to own a big piece of land with rabbits Lennie could tend to. They are both trying to achieve this goal by working on the ranch and saving their money. "we’ll have a big vegetable patch and a rabbit hutch and chickens. And when it rains in the winter, we’ll just say the hell with goin’ to work, and we’ll build up a fire in the stove and set around it an’ listen to the rain comin’ down on the roof” (Chapter 1 Mice and men pg16). As Well as curley's wife her dream was to become an actress unfortunately she was unable to attain this, she married the rancho owner son instead. "'Nother time I met a guy, an' he was in pitchers. Went out to the Riverside Dance Palace with him. He says he was gonna put me in the movies. Says I was a natural. Soon's he got back to Hollywood he was gonna write to me about it." She looked closely at Lennie to see whether she was impressing him. "I never got that letter," she said. "I always thought my of lady stole it. Well, I wasn't gonna stay no place where I couldn't get nowhere or make something of myself, an' where they stole your letters. I ast her if she stole it, too, an' she says no. So I married Curley. Met him out to the Riverside Dance Palace that same night." (chapter 6 Mice and Men pg88).

I chose this song because it has a good representation of the American Dream. He talks about how anyone can be what they want to be some might shoot for their goals some might end up not achieving their goals. But in America everyone gets a chance you just have to work for it.

What The term american dream means to me is to have a home, friends, family, a job, freedom. 
What did you plan to become “when you grew up”? I never really had a plan but once I found teaching I fell in love with it and knew that is what I'm supposed to do. 
What is your American Dream? My American Dream is to be free to do what I want and live how I want. To have my family and children. And to be self supporting being able to provide for myself and my family. 
What or whom do you think influenced your American Dream? My parents They both came up from humble beginnings. They stayed together through good and bad times. They showed respect to each other and as well as us kids they showed us love and happiness. They taught me that anything can happen if you put enough effort.
Have your own hopes and dreams come true? Why or why not? Could you elaborate?  Yes, my dreams have come true. I am self supporting. I am happy most of the time, I have my children and I love doing what I do. That’s my American Dream. 
Is the American Dream realistic to achieve? What happens if a person falls short of their personal American Dream? Yes, anyone can achieve the American Dream. You have to be willing to work for what you want. It won't just fall into your lap, if a person is not happy with where they are at in life they need to work harder and shoot for bigger things. 
Do you believe that the United States is still a “land of opportunity”?Yes, there's plenty to do, plenty of jobs, you just have to search for it, nothing is going to fall into your lap, you have to fight for what you want. 
What is the one piece of advice you remember your parents trying to impress upon you?  Did you take their advice?  Why or why not? Something my parents always used to say to me is to be responsible for yourself and the actions you make. If you have a goal or dream you have to make it happen, not other people do it for you, and not blame other people if things don’t go to plan.
What final piece of advice do you have for me regarding my dreams? Advice that I have is If you have dreams and goals that are attainable go for it give it all that you got, but it won't be easy you’ll hit roadblocks and have to take a couple de tous but if you put in the work and effort it’ll all be worth it in the end.
