The straightness of the levi, splits the image leaving the bottom half to look just like a reflection of the sky or vice versa. Several boats appear to be sitting on top of the hard lines that jut through the frame. The dimples in the water give the image a calming sensation and the clouds almost imitate the texture that the dimples provide in the water. There is a mystical feeling when looking at the mass of land and horizon that is being blurred by light fog, almost creating an eerie feeling when the viewer only focuses on the right side of the picture. The ominous feeling of the fog being prominent near the man-made side of the picture hints at the dangers of human progression.

The reflection of the orange sun and the electrical tower in the water really describes how humans have taken the beauty of California's natural beauty and thie photo was captured when the smoke had filled the blue skies and one of the fires had burned because of a gender reveal party. This juxtaposition of the few leaves lying in the statue of the concrete lily pads submerged in water defines how powerful the leaves in the water created accompanying mother nature’s leaves and mother nature’s enemy, but there is unity occurring in the photo showing how trees and the man made fountains created beauty. The color contrast of the blue on the bottom of the fountain floor and the orange and red colors of the leaves really contrasts the warm and cool tones of these colors and it balances out and the color of the leaves make those colors warm tones pop in those cold colors and makes the natural beauty stand out.Photo by: Nicholas Fernandez
