I chose the "flying circus piano" sound because it matched dory's mood
the notes i chose made a nice calm melody as they changed smoothly.
soft and loud because some notes were loader than others because they were higher but some were soft as well
I think fast because the notes were changing quickly, also because dory is a fast and curious fish so the sound matches dory.
The intervals between the notes were close because there was a rhythm

In the scene Nemo and dory are talking and moving down the ocean, at the end it gets more dark
when it gets more dark the music gets more loud and low
It is different to my first one because i have more layers and i spent more time on this one
at 10 seconds the setting becomes dark and so i added a load note on the piano, also from 0-9 seconds i added high pitched notes so it represents nemo and dory talking
i used "Classic rock organ" because the sound matched the video, "Live piano" that was the "main" layer as it carried the video and represented when the ocean got more dark, "toy glockenspiel" this layer made high pitched notes to represent the talking and finally the "studio" this gave some freshness to the leitmotif

How do u think we did as a group?

- I think we had a great start because we were all almost in sync

How do you think you personally did?

- At the start I was doing good and I was playing right but close to the middle I kind off lost it and my hand placement was messy and some of the notes were played wrong

What is at least one thing you were personally happy with?

- I am happy with the start because I think I was playing good and right at the start

What is at least one thing that you personally wished could be improved?

- I think I could’ve stayed more focused on the guitar so the notes were clean and right the whole time

What would you have done differently to prepare?

- I think my preparation was good it’s just that I got a little distracted and I messed up a little on the notes

- at 1:17:30 I was confident and the notes I played was on time and good but at 1:19:18 I got a little nervous and distracted so it kind off got messy

I practiced a small part of the start for 25/30 minutes, the song called ‘married life’. I practiced using a YouTube piano video and I slowed it down so it would be easier to follow. My goal for the next practice is to learn more of the song.

- I first watched a tutorial of the piece and learned chords for the song, then talked with Mr. Lien to check. Also i added another chord that Mr.Lien suggested.
While learning your part, what struggles are you encountering?
- The timing of changing chords
- A strategy that i could use is listen to the original cover and try figuring out the timing by listening to it carefully
While playing together as a band, what struggles are you encountering?
- Being in sync with everyone because we haven't had alot of time to practice with the guitars
- We could do this by practicing all together more often

we decide to do I thought you wanted to dance until 1:35 because we didn't like the ending and it was too hard
At first we were planning to do another song but we realised that it was too hard for our group so we chose i thought you wanted to dance.
Some challenges we encountered were not being in sync with the guitars but now we got better because we started practicing all together.
I tried singing with the group to make the song sound better also i did the piano.
We mostly kept it the same and we just made it shorter.

In my opinion this cover is the least closest to the original because the instrument that she uses is the ukulele which is not relevant to the song as in the original they use other instruments and her singing sometimes is not to the beat.

- we had good timing and a good start
What is at least one thing you would have liked to improve for next time or differently for next time?
- Next time, I think that we could've made it longer and have everyone sing together.
Choose one other G8 band performance from that evening. What are some specific thoughts you have about that performance?
- Another group that i would like to look at is 'Love tonight' I liked their melody and rhythm but I think that the singing was quiet and not everyone was singing loud enough.
Which ATL skills did you develop in order throughout this unit to play successfully?
- Communication. I think that because we were able to communicate together in our group and decide who is doing what.
