The American Dream is being able to be accepted into a community where you feel like you don't belong. This is related to my thesis because once people start making their dreams reality they start to get selfish and only think about what's good for them instead of the people around them also. Their dream has now changed they only wanted to have a well paying job to provide for their families, they let go of all the party stuff because of that it put them in great debt. Once my mom turned 18 she had to fight for her siblings. Her American Dream was to get out of poverty and provide for her family without having financial issues. She dreamed of her kids having a future ahead of themselves and being someone big in life. She say's as long as her kids are successful and in a good place in life, her dream was accomplished.
