         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nelle Harper Lee (Monroeville, Alabama, April 28, 1926-ibid, February 19, 2016) was an American writer known for her novel Kill a Mockingbird (To Kill a Mockingbird, 1960), a Pulitzer Prize-winning work, and it was his only work published for 55 years until the publication in 2015 of Go and Put a Sentinel (Go, Set a Watchman), but which was previously written by the author (in the mid-fifties) and which is actually the first draft of his first novel.1<br><br>Her novel Kill a Mockingbird was taken to the cinema with the homonymous title in 1962 by Robert Mulligan and starring Gregory Peck in the role of Atticus Finch and Mary Badham as Jean Louise "Scout" Finch, being a candidate for eight Oscars (among them Best film and best director) and awarded with three: actor protagonist (Gregory Peck), adapted screenplay (Horton Foote) and artistic direction in black and Oliver Ermett</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<pre>Louisa May Alcott (Germantown, Pennsylvania, November 29, 1832 - Boston, March 6, 1888) was an American writer, renowned for her famous novel Little Women (1868). Committed to the abolitionist movement and suffragism, he wrote under the pseudonym A.M. Barnard a collection of novels and stories that deal with taboo subjects for the time such as adultery and incest.Louisa wrote stories and poems from a young age. In 1851 he published his first text under the pseudonym Flora Fairfield, a poem that was published in Peterson's Magazine. His first published book would be "Fables of Flowers" (1854). In 1860 he began writing for the Atlantic Monthly magazine. His letters home, reviewed and published in the Commonwealth and compiled as Hospital Sketches (Scenes from the life of a hospital, 1863, re-edited with additions in 1869), showed an acute power of observation and chronicle, as well as a healthy dose of humor retrospective, earning his first critical recognition. His novel Moods (Moods) (1864) was also considered promising.</pre><div><br></div>]]></description>

His published essays and lectures are of great depth and sharpness. He also left a large number of interviews and revealing comments.</title>
