Here is Jasper John's, an American painter and sculptors, deception of the American flag. Its three flags mounted on top of each other painted using encaustic and acrylic. John also used collage with the encaustic to create this thick and heavily textured piece. This was the beginning of pop art focusing on speaking about social and political issues and using bolder primary colours.
