I think that Lady Macbeth is a static character. I think this because Lady Macbeth is never proud of Macbeth and is always challenging his masculinity. An example of this would be when Lady Macbeth criticizes Macbeth and says, "Feed, and regard him not. Are you a man?" (3. 4. 77). This shows that even though Macbeth killed Duncan and Banquo, Lady Macbeth still doesn't think of him as a man because of his fear.

I think Lady Macbeth is a static character because she was always power hungry and manipulative. We know that in the beginning when they were plotting to kill Duncan she was manipulative Macbeth. Then, now that he has killed Banquo and he is hallucinating again she says to him, "Are you a man?" (3.4.58). This shows that she is still questioning his masculinity just how she did in the beginning, so she has not changed.

Throughout Macbeth, I think Macbeth is a dynamic character because in the beginning Lady Macbeth was more in control and manipulative and now Macbeth is being manipulative as he states, "Not i'th'worst rank of manhood, say't,/ And I will put that business in your bosoms" (3.1.102-103). This quote is basically saying that if you are a man, you will kill Banquo. This is exactly what Lady Macbeth was acting like towards Macbeth when he killed Duncan.

I think Macbeth is a dynamic character because he starts to take control of his situation, rather than Lady Macbeth controlling him. Macbeth displays this when he tells his wife to "Be innocent of the knowledge, dearest chuck, / Till thou applaud the deed" (3.2.45-46).

Lady Macbeth has remained manipulative, ambitious, and ruthless throughout what we have read so far. She is always challenging Macbeths masculinity and calling him weak. This shows how she is a static character. Lady Macbeth compares Macbeth to "A woman's story at a winter's fire,/Authorized by her grandam." (3.4. 64-65) In this quote, Lady Macbeth is calling Macbeth a woman, and telling him he cannot handle the situation

macbeth is a static character. from the very beginning of the story, macbeth is a "brave macbeth - well he deserves that name / which smoked with bloody execution" (1.2.16-18). he is not afraid to kill others to protect what is of importance to him. macbeth illustrates his bravery and goriness from protecting a friend, to killing a friend. he does not back down from a fight, and takes the lives of thse who are in the way. he did so from the war with norway, and gaining the crown as king. macbeth killed any other heirs to the throne in order to gain the title he longed for. macbeth was always a gruesome man.

I think that Macbeth is a static character because even though he seems to become more powerful, he still has visions and has trouble standing up to Lady Macbeth. After they murder Banquo, Macbeth is haunted by his ghost and starts acting crazy, stating to the ghost of Banquo, "Thou canst not say I did it; never shake/ Thy glory locks at me." (3.4.50-51) Macbeth was talking to an empty chair which is similar to when he was picturing the dagger when he murdered Duncan.

i think lady macbeth is a static character. throughout the story she constantly shames him for lacking masculinity. when she asks macbeth "Are you a man?" she makes him feel lesser about himself (3.4.58). anytime macbeth shows any sort of guilt or remorse she makes him feel insecure about it, as if he isnt entitled to have his own feelings.

I think Macbeth is a dynamic character, because his attitude and personality change throughout the story, especially when planning the two murders. In the beginning of the play, Macbeth explains to Lady Macbeth that "We will proceed no further in this business" (1.7.31). This line shows that Macbeth was afraid to kill Duncan, and refused to do it all together. However, Macbeth's ways change whenever he hires murders saying "And with him, / To leave no rubs nor botches in the work, / Fleance, his son that keeps him company, / Whose absence is no less material to me / Than is his father's, must embrace the fate / Of that dark hour" (3.1.132-137). Macbeth not only wants to kill Banquo, but also Fleance.

I think Lady Macbeth is a static character. In the play so far she has been illustrated to have a continuous role as a manipulative and cruel person to Macbeth in order to get her way. Lady Macbeth shows this when she states, " That made you break this enterprise to me?/ When you dust do it, then you were a man" ( 1.7. 58-59). Through this evidence Lady Macbeth is showed challenging his manhood and accuses him of being a coward in order to get Macbeth to go through with killing Duncan.

Throughout the story, Macbeth's mindset and behavior changes, especially towards Lady Macbeth's manipulative comments. When Lady Macbeth attempts to manipulate Macbeth into murdering Duncan, he tells her that they aren't killing him, and she challenges his manliness when she states, "When you durst do it, then you were a man. / And to be more than what you were, you would / Be so much more than a man" (1.7.49-51) The line indicates that Lady Macbeth is ready to do anything to gain power without getting her hands dirty. However, later on in the story, Macbeth takes matters into his own hands by killing Banquo without the help of Lady Macbeth and when he becomes paranoid, she challenges his manhood once again by stating, "Are you a man?" (3.4.57) and Macbeth responds immediately with, "Ay, and a bold one" (3.4.58) which makes him a dynamic character because he was unable to stand up to her before.
