Last week I read something about unpaid internships in New York. When I read it for the first time I was not amused.
How could you let people work, put a lot of effort into something and don’t pay them for their work. Especially younger people. They are trying to prepair themselves for the future and they want to earn money. When the employers were you and studying, they wanted to earn some money aswell. So if you ask me the question if people should get payed for internships, I would say ‘yes’ over and over again. The amount that these people have to get payed doesn’t even have to be that much. It’s all about the fact that people recieve a reward for their efforts.
This was my opinion and I look forward to a response.

Unfortunality I have to do regular work, just like every other employee. But these employees do get paid for their work. This is not fair.

I think this is not the reason why you should do an internship. The most important reason is to learn things. You could also take a look in how everything works. And you do not have enough experience to do the similar work as the employees.

I write this e-mail in response to your video showed on the BBC. In this video you showed the employment in New York.

Hereby the employees do an unpaid internship in a company. In my opinion an unpaid internships are very useful for students, but not for working a real job. If unpaid employees do the same work as a paid employees do, wouldn’t it be reasonable to pay them both. It doesn’t have to be much but an employer should pay an employee for his/her time.
