I'm Wren, 19 years old, and I was born and raised in Stockton and Modesto, and now live in Lodi. I graduated from Lincoln High in 2023 and since then I have been interested in climate action and invested in my community.

I started working in Boggs Tract at the Edible Schoolyard community farm in late 2024 with California Climate Action Corps. This fellowship has opened my eyes to the fact that climate issues will hit communities like this one the hardest.

I drive by the industry and the crosstown freeway everyday and it becomes more and more clear which areas of this city need the most love.

My lived experience:

Hi everyone! I'm Meller, currently 25 and was born and raised in South Side Stockton. I graduated from Edison High School and then attended Cal State East Bay.

During college, I interned as a public engagement Intern at the Oakland Zoo, educating the public about the Illegal WildLife Trade, Oakland Zoo affiliates and programs to help counteract the trade, and ways people can help and stay informed. I also became the President of my University's Filipino organization, PASA (Pilipinx American Student Association) to focus my work in building connections with the community at the Bay.

From then, I graduated with a degree in Biology, with a focus in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I am passionate in positively impacting both the environment and my community. I believe with this position, I am able to fulfill both my passions of climate issues and assisting others.

As a Stockton native, I believe it is our duty to help our neighbors, especially those who face the most disinvestment, like South Stockton. Although I do not live in South Stockton, through my work as a Climate Action Fellow I have been educated on the struggles these communities face. With Stockton Service Corps, I have focused many climate action projects in South Stockton including tree planting and edible food recovery.

Hello, I'm a 31 year old, Cambodian-American multidisciplinary visual artist. I moved to Stockton from Long Beach, CA when I was 5 years old. I have lived here since. I used to commute for school & work but now my focus is more local. The work I create is heavily inspired by our rich landscape and post-industrial neighborhoods. Preserving the delta, local waterways and representing the culture of Stockton is very important to me.
