I always loved posting on social media, specifically TikTok. I never really had a blow-up moment until this video. Taylor Swift posted a video getting ready to receive a Doctorate from NYU. This so happened to land on the same day I graduated high school so I had the idea to copy her video. It blew up overnight, the next morning I woke up to thousands of comments telling me Swift liked my video. I went insane. I think this helps connect my project to my personal life.

Fan culture around artists like Taylor Swift is about more than just admiration; it's about wanting to feel connected to the person behind the music. This hunger for intimacy often collides with the reality that artists become more distant as they gain fame. To dive deeper, you'll explore Chappell Roan’s opposing views—she critiques the pressure fans put on artists to maintain closeness while dealing with their own personal boundaries. Researching this tension will give you a more balanced perspective on fandom and celebrity culture.
