         <title>Musical Impressions of the Great Depression</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In this story they tell us how the music during The Great Depression. Most people know that The Great Depression was an economic crash when the stock market collapsed and many companies and investors went broke and bankrupt. Nearly half of the people in the US during The Great Depression lost their jobs, feared that event will continue, and faced hardship. A man named Woody Guthrie traveled to state of California by just going west to try to find an available job there. Along the way, he saw and experienced challenges that other people and himself were going through. He created the, "Dust Bowl Blues" and, "Goin' Down the Road Feeling Bad" to help retrieve the fearful people have their dignity back. Many other bands also went around the country to help forget about the hardship in The Great Depression. President Franklin D. Roosevelt created programs to help the country even more to distract them from The Great Depression once the highest to the depression were over, the music had been inspiring musicians to play during the hard times.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In the story, The Day the Rollets Got Their Moxie Back, they adapted to change by creative problem solving, like mom made a "beet loaf," a meatless meat loaf. Finding joy, like Shirley and Ruth decided to join a talent show, which they were inspired by Ricky's letter, provided a source of happiness. Community support, like the kid's performance at the soup kitchen, not only brought them happiness, but also revealed the supportive nature of their community. Maintaining family bonds, like throughout the hardships, the family remained close-knit, finding strength and comfort in each other's company. These adaptations weren't about grand solutions, but about small.</p>]]></description>
