Why you should vote for us!

The Eastern Fox Snake is often mistaken for a venomous snake, and people kill it, but the Eastern Fox Snake is actually harmless.
Their homes are being destroyed, and if you vote for us, you can help these animals at the Lake Erie Nature Center for food, shelter and medicine.

         <title>Diet

The eastern fox snake diet is for the most part composed of meadow voles, although on occasion they will take other prey, like a variety of small mammals including rats, mice, chipmunks, even small rabbits and birds eggs. Eastern fox snakes are major predators of small rodents, which can be agricultural pests. If fox snake numbers can be kept stable they will help control small rodent numbers resulting in less crop damage in many agricultural fields.</title>
