Friendship can be complicated, for sure, but it's almost always worth the journey. When Because of Winn-Dixie begins, poor little Opal has no mother, no friends, and a dad who doesn't even have enough time to grocery shop, for Pete's sake. By the end of the story, she's sitting with a whole host of folks singing "Kumbaya." Okay, not literally "Kumbaya," but they're still all singing together. But the journey from Point A to Point B had plenty of complications and a few hiccups. That's the thing about friendship. It's rarely simple, and we can't always tell where it will lead. But at least we know it'll lead somewhere good. ]]> 2017-12-17 20:08:45 UTC https://padlet.com/kjohnson0352/Becauseofwinndixie/wish/216802653 kjohnson0352 https://padlet.com/kjohnson0352/Becauseofwinndixie/wish/216802844 Because of Winn Dixie by. This relates to my book because Opal came into a new town without any friends and and they made fun of her and toward the end of the book she has a lot of friedns just like in the youtube video]]> 2017-12-17 20:18:47 UTC https://padlet.com/kjohnson0352/Becauseofwinndixie/wish/216803887 kjohnson0352 https://padlet.com/kjohnson0352/Becauseofwinndixie/wish/216804575 This book is about a Squirrel, who likes nuts, and Bird, who likes worms, they try new things together and develop an appreciation for their respective differences. I think this relates to Because of Winn Dixie because the two little boys who are the total opposite of Opal become friends with her because they worked out their differences.]]> 2017-12-17 20:24:18 UTC https://padlet.com/kjohnson0352/Becauseofwinndixie/wish/216804575 kjohnson0352 https://padlet.com/kjohnson0352/Becauseofwinndixie/wish/216805099 This relates to Because of Winn Dixie because Opal told Gloria all of her troubles about how her mom left her and how she had no friends.]]> 2017-12-17 20:29:08 UTC https://padlet.com/kjohnson0352/Becauseofwinndixie/wish/216805099
