Western Art Music, or classical music, is well known throughout the world. Pieces that were made centuries ago hold a timeless quality that allows listeners to still appreciate the music even though it has been played repeatedly over time. Classical music canon would be the type of music performed over and over again, originally composed by artists that were and still are the current standard for classical music. They have the quality that every other classical performer is under the pressure to live up to. "The Greats" such as Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven are a few to name among the canon composers of Western Art Music genre. Their pieces are performed with the goal of complete replication, in contrast to most modern day music covers that allow the cover artist creative freedom. The canon composers create a standard on which we compare others to. The fact that we still listen to these artists on the radio in the 21st-century pays homage to that fact.

Out of all the music I listened to on the radio station Classical 101 WRR, my favorite would have to be Piano Concerto #21 in C - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This can be narrowed down to two reasons:
1. I happen to love the piano, seeing as though I happen to be a player myself.
and
2. It is a familiar piece that never fails to put me in a good mood, especially if I see it being performed.
