Ch.7 Dad ends up almost making fun of Darius for is weight/health, while mom is trying to make him feel safe, so instead of getting subway he goes and eats sour patch kids 
on the toilet
Ch.8 pg.69 "what is this for?'

He calls his dad who picks him up he asks who did it and Darius is having a hard time talking to him.

Ch.6 He doesn't know how to communicate with grandparents and though he is devastated that Babou was dying though he is excited to meet his grandparents for the first time and doesn't know how to talk to them about either of those things.
Ch.7 pg. 61-62 "Let's try to get along. Okay? I want you to enjoy this trip.' 
'Okay' 
'I'm sorry'
'It's fine'
I mean, it wasn't fine. I wasn't even sure which part he thought he was apologizing for...
But the dad looked up at me and said, "Love you, Darius."
And I said, "Love you, dad."
And that meant we weren't going to talk about it anymore.
Ch.9 they meet Mamoa and she shows she loves him right away as they sit in the car together and she hold him, he loves his grandma and is very happy to finally meet her but he also felt guilty that his Grandfather couldn't be there.
Darius walks in on Sohrab's family on the wrong time, when Sohrab's dad has died, and Sohrab takes his anger out on him and tells him to get out, Darius ends up bumping into hi;s father and his father lets him talk and doesn't tell him what to feel and just listens.
Darius is spending more time with his father and Darius loves that, his entire family trying to say things to help cheer him up, Babou says to him what happened with Sohrab isn't is fault and that he's a good friend and gives him a kiss and almost smiles for the first time. Then Sohrab shows up to say goodbye and tells him he is truly sorry about what happened, and tells him didn't mean it and says he is a bad friend and says he loves his cleats.
Darius watches as his mom says goodbye to Babou and is truly sad, because he knows this is the last time Mom will ever see him.
Darius and his family are a lot closer then ever, him and his parents watch star trek with his mother rubbing her fingers through his air the whole time, after him and his father have tea, Darius tells him about soccer and tells him not to feel pressured, and then his entire family comes over and they sat talking and laughing. Then his dad asks him if he is okay and Darius says "I'm great". He goes and plays soccer and forgets his gear though Sohrab has extra the he says he'll share and Darius says "you sure you don't mind? sharing" Like he is suprised
pg.235-237 Darius is depressed about Laleh taking star trek and then he took her to get ice cream she peppered Sohrab talking in Farsi, Sohrab realizes Darius is sad, and tells Laleh to talk in English, then they go up to the top of the building, there spot and Darius asks why he's sad and tells Darius that Laleh isn't taking his spot and that Darius is his best friend and that makes him feel great, and shows that Sohrab is a great friend.
Chip is starting to treat him better and actually is asking about his trip and knows about it, and doesn't make any jokes about it , and starts to treat him as a friend.

Ch.7 Darius is even getting bullied by people he doesn't know in this chapter its the Officer at the airport in this one who embarrasses Darius by thinking the pimple on his forehead was a dot.  
After playing soccer with Sohrab, he took a shower with them and they ended up making fun of Sohrab because he wasn't circumcised.
After Darioush had been so upset about his friend Sohrab making fun of him for being a non-circumcised, he confesses he is also picked on and he was just happy that his soccer dudes were picking on Darioush instead of him and Darius understands and they make up.
ch.16 Darius finds out that Darius's dad is in jail because of him getting mixed up with some protesters then he starts to think how hard Sohrab has it not even having a dad
pg.214 Sohrab asked Darius if he as girlfriend and Dari us thinks, "I tried to keep my voice neutral, but no matter how you answer that question, people will always read too much into it." Hinting toward him being gay
Pg. 223-226 Darius's father starts star trek without him and he feels like his dad purposely did so. So Darius goes and sits outside.
