This is because the lyrics and the video connect. Also, looking at Carol Vernallis' theory; she says that establishing and close up shots are vital in a music video, and I believe this music video represents that.

The locations, settings, props and costumes were all relevant to the lyrics and made sense in the video. The camerawork and editing are also done effectively as the lip syncing is in time with the words and there is a range of camera shots.
