For the 3/5 Compromise the North and the South fought about the amount of slaves and if they should be counted in the population or not. The North didn't want the slaves to count. The South wanted the slaves to count for representation.

Debate about the slave trade resulted in a Slave Trade Compromise. Northerners who opposed agreed to allow it to continue for 20 years. This was important to southerners who insisted their economy couldn't survive without slaves.

The Slave Trade Compromise will NEVER solve the issue of slavery in America.

The Great Compromise was a compromise between the New Jersey and Virginia plans. The states that supported the New Jersey Plan wanted all the Legislative houses to have equal representation through out the states. States that supported the Virginia plan wanted the representation in the Legislative houses to be based on the state's population.

This compromise created a Bicameral Legislature. To compromise the New Jersey Plan, the Senate was created which takes 2 senators from each state. To compromise the Virginia Plan the House of Representatives was created which takes more representatives based on the population of the state

The Missouri Compromise was between the pro slavery and anti-slavery groups, involving the regulation of slavery in the western territories. Missouri requested to become a slave state which upset the balance between free and slave states. To keep the peace, Missouri became a slave state but Maine was admitted as a free state. Also, an imaginary line was created along the former Louisiana Territory which established a boundary between free and slave regions. This Compromise did not solve the issue of slavery.
