         <description><![CDATA[<div>It depends on where the students are coming from (hierarchy of needs) and if their basic needs are not met, then technology will not be the main focus of the school system. Funding could also be focused more into hand-on activities and field trips instead of technology because of the administration's views on use of technology in the classroom.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Some school systems have different priorities for their student academic achievement and may put funds towards other aspects of a students life/learning environment. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>i think that in some areas, a lot of money that is spent on technology may be raised through PTA and other sources that do not come from the state government. the school district i grew up in gave us personal laptops that belonged to the school that we could take home from middle school-high school. </div>]]></description>

School of wealthier districts being able to afford better technology than those of title 1 or low income. Also some schools have a MORE traditional preference in teaching. In wealthier districts, students automatically have more access to technology outside of school, whereas people living in poorer areas can have limited access to technology.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Some smaller counties and districts would have smaller budgets, which would ultimately have an impact on how much money is set aside for technology. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think one thing that I think feeds into the spending and implementation of technology is how having technology in the classroom looks for a county.  It makes school divisions seem better off than they may be, however the teachers may not be trained correctly in how to use the technology successfully. </div>]]></description>

I am at a school that revolves their entire curriculum around STEM but a large majority of my students are coming from low-income families. Most of these students do not have much access to technology at home but in school they are surrounded by it.</div>]]></description>

I know at my school our principal constantly asks and analyzes the uses of certain websites, chromebooks, etc. I think it also depends on whether or not the curriculum provides ways to integrate technology... which also depends on the availability of it in the classrooms. </div>]]></description>
