In this story, there were clearly multiple perspectives, you could tell because of the way many of the actions in this story where perceived. One perspective we have is the tree. The tree ( at the start of the story) had always been used to the boy simply playing with her, and genuinely loving her, the tree was so used to this behavior that when the boy began to act selfish and careless towards her, she didn't think anything of it, she was blinded by the fact that she thought that their relationship was a mutual friendship. Another perspective we see in this story is the Boy's perspective on how he is treating the tree. Throughout the story it is shown that the boy is being selfish by constantly asking the tree to give him things and he seems to think that it is ok.
