This task we had to think of 30 different things that were circles in a certain set time, generically this would be plain simple yet the time limit I feel like got to everyone and many (including myself) only got 13-14, which kinda amazed me as I right now could name 30 circle objects but not then which would show how much we would fumble when under a pressure of some sort.

What am I most excited for in AP:

Personally from what I've heard AP is more hands on and is developing a pitch and presenting it out towards a certain group, as of this I'm honestly pretty excited for the expo, I remember last term other students talking about the expo and it seemed quite interesting in my eyes, so I'm pretty static to get that under the way.

Personality:

Typically I have a more calm tolerant personality, due to this I feel like it would be useful when others aren't working with the group or are mucking around, however with this it also limits how I speak around people, as sometimes I can let people go way over my head which can lead to some interesting moments, so if I could improve on this in the next few weeks that would be pretty beneficial.

Challenges:

For challenges I feel like a big thing would be getting out of that comfort zone many people sit in (myself included) and would not try to pitch in as much due to this as they may see their idea's as silly leading to some great ideas being missed, this would probably be one challenge whilst the second in my eyes would be meeting others, this one is more personal as I'm reluctant in meeting others, if I'm forced I'll do my best, yet sometimes if I'm not I would shy away, this is a personal challenge that I would like to solve probably by the end of AP.

Discussion of concepts:

One thing that was said to the entire class that stuck in my brain is to think outside the box, make it fun and unique which I feel like is a good way to engage people rather than the usual, a second concept I would think is good is to sell the idea out, make it better than it sounds, don't overly gloss it yet gloss it enough to make others feel like they must have this product.

When looking at our video I feel like we did pretty well in the editing of our video, some improvements I would say we could've done is fully filming together to make it look more clean rather people filming at home. The elements of collaboration that went well is that we resolved our problem and we were able to present a decent video. In terms of collaboration and improvements, if we had everyone on track and focused rather than just arguing we could've done much better. Finally the persuasive techniques that were highlighted within our video would most likely be empathy and humor, as they were the most used techniques.

This in my eyes was a pretty good idea however showcasing the final product would be an issue so around halfway through week 6 we changed the idea (road hazards in general, hence me needing to research further, in all I was able to create a script which ended up being too long making me shorten it to be able to give to each of my group members so we could record

Throughout the weeks of 5-7 we were tasked in production of our video for our spinoff project, which in our group of 3 were pretty excited for, we had so many idea's and thoughts that we were thinking of implementing into the video yet throughout this time all of our group members were absent more than once, which cause us as a group to fall apart. Which became more heated as we had yet to produce the video. This continued throughout week 5 and 6 not getting much done, either remaking or redoing the assignment over and over due to quality and collaboration issues. Looking back the actual point in time where the footage we recorded fully as a group were used would probably be the beginning of week 7. Throughout week 7 we managed to get more clips and record finally finishing on Saturday, 3 days over due.

This week we had somewhat completed our script for the presenation, yet our collaboration in our group lacked heavily, due to Arawn not having done the slides properly (very low quality), leaving me to fill in his position whilst also conducting research and writing, which I thought was kinda unfair, yet we manahed to finish the script to the most part of it, making anup just having to check over it for any mistakes or errors .

I feel as if this task was somewhat done solo, yet at the same time not, personally I would feel that I did most of the work however Anup pitching in on his designated part which is fair as it was me who decided to take on more of the work load, anyways week 4 we were the last group to present our slides on the first day, personally I was pretty nervous yet we overcame this fear, I feel as if we were pretty prepeared for everything except the questions, as there was alot of unsurity in the answers we presented sometimes not making sense.

Week 5 was seen to be a non productive week, honestly looking at our feedback we recieved we only needed to change 1 sentance to tick that box to earn an A, which we did, more so I was tasked with builing the learning Loop in minecraft to allow an immersive experiance, which took most of the week to complete due to it being pretty large, Anup was incharge of the posters, and any other small decorative items, Arawn wasn't here so he didn't recieve anything to do.

This week we had our presentaion expo, this expo it was kind of a rush, as neither of us had printed anything, (collaboration issue mb), which lead to a last minute rush, leading Mrs Sugars to visit us 3 times (very sorry about that) because the printer had refused to work, however we managed to excecute the presentation pretty well, not the best because we didn't practice the 1 minute script but we improvised, which allowed us to get an A.

Final reflection

Throughout the 2 terms of action project I personally feel as if I have grown quite a lot, it feels as if I had managed to improve my persuasion skills whilst also improving how quickly I can improvise in the middle of an audience. Collaboration may need some work however, it would seem that whenever I’m placed in a group I would do the majority of the work, it may just be because I decide to take the more time consuming parts, yet I strongly agree that collaboration would need a touch up or something.

Well My communication with my group somewhat remains the same, I actively push everyone in my group to complete their designated roles, yet when they don’t I dont really say anything, more so this is when I take up their role hindering the whole group collaboration part, we collaborated somewhat evenly throughout the 2 terms, nothing really changed, we mainly just stuck to our roles. Creativity was improved by lots of research and time put into the idea, we had to actually put a lot of thought into trying to make a good unique idea so that we could hit that high band of grade.

Well if in the future I were to start a small business or hop on a show that advertises my product this would help quite a lot as I would already have most of the skills to fully make and present my product whilst selling it to the customer in a convincing way.

I feel the main challenge I faced was people not doing their designated role, I understand they also have other assignments but not working in class or at home then not having anything prepared making another one of us take care of it was really annoying, I feel as if it tested my patience a lot. Generally I would try to talk it out with them to try to get them to do work, yet if they wouldn’t comply I would take the role to try to get it done in whatever time space we have to ensure the group gets a good grade. I don’t think much of this now yet back then I was pretty pissed whenever this happened which wasn’t good but it was natural as it's annoying.

I feel that I learnt how to manage my emotions way more, and work under pressure to allow good efficient work to be completed, which can be pretty helpful later on as not everyone will do what they have to do, leading to stressful moments so, I guess this was a learning experience for me.

I feel like I gained more knowledge on how to deal with people whilst also how to communicate clearly and make things up on the spot to fix a mistake made in front of a crowd, all of these were skills that I had to make and refine over the time of our Action project semester, otherwise I really enjoyed action project as it was fun and educational (in some aspects)
