The overall effect is being very calm and almost numb to your surroundings. Another danger to keep in mind if ingesting Xanax, is if you buy it on the streets (where it is known as, "bars" "xans" and "Green Hulk") it can be laced with a synthetic heroin called fentanyl to increase the chance of addiction to give the drug dealers a chance for a more profitable client.
