I find the sequels for Star Wars are very flawed because the characters will always win against impossible odds. Unlike the sequels, the original Star Wars, the main characters would have a story arc that will change throughout the story. Also, these characters do not always win against everything. For example, In "The Rise of Skywalker," the resistance wins against the second order, even though they were outnumbered and less trained in warfare. In "Star Wars, a New Hope," they try to save Princess Lea, but they don't know if they can succeed. They succeed at saving her, but they barely escape and Ben sacrifices himself.
