I think the girl (Correne) will enter the forest and face an actual Jumbie(s). Then maybe the girl will run out of the forest and the Jumbie(s) will start targeting her, then eventually she learnes to defend herself from Jumbies and eventually when they appear she kills some of them and they stop targeting them. Bonus question: What are the 2 eyes on the front cover? Seems like a Jumbie, I dont know. (On my cover, there are 3 words on top of the title. "They are coming")

Corrine doesn't believe in jumbies but she doesn't know that her mom is a jumbie and she is a half-jumbie. Corrine is very fast because she caught the agouti by going to the forest which means she is brave, too. Currently she saved the frog that the boys trapped and put a dozen scorpions to trick the boys.

Hi, I am from BC Canada I think the douens are going to try to trurn them into douens but Corinne is going to save Bouki and Malik.

I think only Malik will make it out, and Bouki will not survive the jumbies. I think the adults will find out about Bouki and Malik a bit after they were pulled into the forest, but when the adults notice, it's too late. A lagahoo will find Bouki and Malik with the douens, and the lagahoo will take over. I think Bouki will risk his life for Malik, and when Malik gets to safety, Bouki will be clawed and scratched, and when Bouki loses all his blood, he will die in the gloomy, scary forest of Jumbies. After the lagahoo kills Bouki, it will drag Bouki into it's home and eat him. After Malik gets to safety, he hears the howls and screams of his brother, and knows that Bouki is in trouble. Malik will try to get back into the forest to rescue Bouki, but the adults will stop him and tell him that no boy can make it out of a lagahoo's claws alive. When Malik hears that, Malik will grieve over Bouki for the rest of his life, and will never forget about how Bouki saved his life, and dying for him. When Corinne manages to get her mother's necklace, she will hear Bouki screaming, but Corinne knows too that Bouki wouldn't have made it out alive.

I think Corinne is the bravest child in her village, and she might be the only child that doesn't believe in all those monsters like jumbies whom live in the forest.

Corrine lost here mom and only lives with her dad Pierre.She fishes with his dad,she sells the best oranges because they have forest soil.She is not scared of a jumbie because she does thinks that jumbie is just a fairy tale only did she know she is actually half jumbie.Corrine has a mom called Nicole Nicole has a jumbie sister!I think Corrine is brave good hearted and curious.I live in BC canada south surrey
